With the Windows 8 release less than 1 month away, we're getting excited (and prepared) here at RadarSync. While we do believe that this release will be the coolest, most exciting and innovative Windows version yet, we do anticipate that drivers will still be a problem for some. There are some manufacturers, particularly component manufacturers, who just will not have Windows 8 drivers available before shipment, or before the release. Or they'll have drivers, but they won't be very stable. Or they'll pretend that their Windows 7 drivers are good enough (because they're not ready) and the consumer will miss out on some great Windows 8 features. But that's okay -- we're ready. This week we've added some new Toshiba Windows 8 drivers, a bunch of Intel Windows 8 drivers, and a new category for Sigmatel Windows 8 drivers. You can see them all below. The Sigmatel
section is here

Wow, we're finally starting to see some drivers for Realtek 'High Definition' Audio. Considering how widespread these are, it's a very good thing. Check the Realtek section out below!
On another note, just read a PC World review of the Manufacturer's releaes of Windows 8. The reviewer was impressed by the OS, but had a few driver problems, starting with an inability to install it on the first test system due to wifi driver problems, and then once he finaly installed it on an Asus zenbook, still had to hunt down the touchpad driver himself. Hopefully Microsoft will get these glitches ironed out soon. Otherwise, RadarSync PC Updater is always here to pick up the slack... :-)

AMD has released new versions of its AMD Radeon HD 6450 and AMD Radeon HD 7420G drivers for all operating systems, including Windows 8. For Windows 8, the drivers are the same drivers as for Windows 7, so they may not enable any special features, but at least they'll work, which is always good!

If you're starting to think about that Windows 8 upgrade and whether to do it, here's one more for the 'pros' column: Aperion's new ARIS wireless speaker is already fully compatible with Windows 7 and Windows 8 Consumer Preview. I don't see the driver up for it yet, but since it hasn't even shipped yet, that's understandable.

Not entirely drivers related, but I love how proactive Microsoft is being about Windows 8 upgrades. The compatibility preview for Windows 8 page is easy to use and understand. It helps with the upgrade decision making process for users who have purchased expensive commercial software and want to know if its wise to upgrade to Windows 8.
Check it out here.

Windows 8 release is just around the corner and we're starting to track and compile our repository of Microsoft Windows 8 drivers.
Nvidia is one of the first vendors to make Windows 8 drivers available, including those for GPUs, Geoforce and Quadro video cards.
Nvidia usually releases integrated drivers that run all all Windows versions, but this time, due to the special features of Windows 8, it is
releasing separate drivers. Nvidia's Windows 8 drivers improve tuning between native support for stereoscopic 3D video stream and
Nvidia card resources for playing 3D content. Click here to download
